I looked on the Naruto Filler list ( , this is the one I used for anyone asking) and it says that after episode 135 all the episodes just become filler. I was wondering to save myself a lot of time, could I just start watching Naruto Shippuden after ep 135
The proper answer for this is yes, you can just skip the whole filler arc, even without watching ep220, but it should be noted that those episodes have manga materials and connected to each other and to the end of 220 and to Shippudden:
Yes, You can. After Naruto episode 135 they are all fillers. However fillers are interesting to watch but Shippuden is better than the fillers. After episode 135 you can jump straight to Shippuden without missing any of the main storyline. Also, as \"Ch.Siva Ram Kishore\" has added... There are zero references to the fillers from Naruto in Naruto Shippuden.Overall there are 220 episodes in Naruto and you only need to watch the first 135. The final 85 are all fillers and you can just Jump straight to Shippuden and save tons of time. SO YES.
Yes you can but at first the first episode of shippuden was confusing but you still get the main story line but to get more detail and everything you should watch all of naruto then head to naruto shippuden but you can if you want just watch the first 135 episodes first or it will make absolutely no sense :p hope I helped you
Naruto: Shippuden has been ranked several times as one of the most watched series in Japan.[216][217] The first DVD compilation released by Viz received a nomination from the American Anime Awards for Best Package Design.[218] It was well-reviewed by Activeanime's David C. Jones who commented that the animation had improved.[219] Carl Kimlinger of Anime News Network opined that the series has a more serious tone and a better balance between comedy and drama than the first anime series; with more interesting digressions from the main plot.[220][221] Although the pacing for the first episodes was criticised as slow, the delivery and development of the interactions between the characters received positive comments.[222][223] Writing for the Los Angeles Times, Charles Solomon ranked Shippuden the third best anime on his \"Top 10\".[224] In 2011, readers of Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition voted Naruto as the 29th-top video game character of all time.[225]
However, it turns out that Genno might also be a terrorist who has come to Konoha to destroy the village. These episodes feature Konoha's attempts to rebuild and the danger that comes with it. Featuring many underappreciated characters, this arc may be worth watching for some.
Considering Konoha's close ties with Sunagakure in Shippuden, this arc actually makes a lot of sense and helps solidify an early relationship between the two villages. It's an opportunity to see almost all of the main characters together one more time before the time jump, and Episode 220 is actually the final episode of the original series, making it at least partially worth watching.
